Haulage

We operate a modern fleet of 8-Wheeler Tipper Wagons and Articulated Bulk Tippers with the latest DAF, Scania, Mercedes and Hino models. Maintaining our Fleet to the highest level is of the up most importance to us so we can maximise efficiency and minimise down-time.

The Tippers steel bodies allow us to carry all aggregates as well as demolition waste/spoil arising.

We always endeavour to keep our Tipper lorries full in both directions to and from site if the work allows, to again maximise efficiency and capabilities, which are in turn is reflected with very competitive prices.

All our drivers have full HGV licences and are CPC certified.

Heavy Haulage

As well as our vast fleet of 8-Wheeler Tippers, our newly purchased DAF joins our Scania Low-loader doubling our moving capabilities and increasing the weight capacity to circa 75 tonnes.

Spoil Shifting

With our large fleet of wagons and many others to call on we can shift large quantities of soil arisings from your site to one of many local land-fill sites/ restoration schemes.

If needed we can call on our Plant Department to provide the appropriate sized machine to clear your site as quickly as possible.

Another extra we can provide is our road-sweeper to ensure your site, and roads in and out are kept clean throughout the duration of the spoil shift.

As well as inert soils we can cart away clean brick hardcore/ concrete/ tarmac and topsoils to one of our permitted Transfer Stations (please see Facilities).

Road Sweeping

Our Road Sweeper is a real asset to the company and helps us keep sites clean during our spoil shifting and contract works; it allows us to keep all haul road inside and outside of site clean and safe, which for the housebuilders we work for is an absolute must.

Demolition

Our Plant Department has all necessary safety features and attachments for us to undertake small to medium size demolition work. The steel body tippers we run allow for easy transportation of demolition waste to be removed from site coupled with our local facilities which permit us to take mixed demolition waste for re-processing/ recycling.

With our modern crushing division we also have the option for crushing and screening on site to leave graded aggregate for the next stage of the project, or for resale by ourselves or the client.

Excavation Packages/Site Strips

At Stoneledge Plant & Transport we can undertake Sub-Contract work of varying sizes, utilising the experience of our Site Supervisors and Quantity Surveyor alongside our large Plant and Transport Departments to bring projects in on time and to a high degree of quality.

Crushing and Screening Division

Our 2018 Mobile Screening and Crushing plants allow us to make and process many different high quality aggregates and soils.

The 47 tonne Powerscreen Warrior Premiertrak R400K with hydraulic release can crush 100’s of tonnes of recycled aggregate to a 6F5 grading per day, and can also crush down to a Type 1 grading. This crusher makes light work of most natural and recycled stone, crushing from 40mm up to 250mm.

Our versatile and easily transportable Powerscreen Warrior 800 Screener can run alongside the above crushing plant or independently, to make a wide variety of clean aggregates. With Screening decks available in 10, 20 and 40mm sizes (other sizes are available) this screener can be customised to make the most of our client requirements.

This screener is also used to screen our topsoil to ensure any oversize is removed before delivery to site.
